Join our Geo Structures department in Copenhagen as our new Geotechnical Engineer and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new Geotechnical Engineer, your key responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>Providing geotechnical advice and design to a multi-disciplinary project team, either in support of more senior staff or in your own right.</li><li>Planning and conducting geotechnical analysis using various proprietary tools.</li><li>Interpreting and assessing ground-related risks and developing measures to manage these risks.</li><li>Carrying out research and development of new ideas and products to enable Ramboll to provide sustainable solutions for society.</li><li>Assist in marketing our skills to identify and secure exciting new projects and contracts that build on our existing industry and market relationships.</li></ul><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>As our new Geotechnical Engineer, you will be part of a growing team focused on the delivery of challenging ground engineering schemes that support and enable the construction of sustainable energy facilities, new railways, ports, highways structures, and high-quality new buildings.  We also advise clients on the impact of new work on the existing natural and man-made environment to enable new projects to proceed in a sustainable and safe manner. This is a young team but contains engineers who are experts in their field and will be able to guide and develop your career as you add new skills to those you bring to Geo Structures.</p><p><strong>About you </strong></p><p>From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><p>These include:</p><ul><li>Good quality BEng degree with reasonable geotechnical engineering or engineering geology content.</li><li>A master’s degree or higher that focuses on geotechnical engineering or engineering geology would be of benefit but this can be replaced with good industry experience of 2 to 3 years.</li><li>Ability and desire to carry out complex analyses of retaining structures or complex foundations.</li><li>Knowledge and demonstrable experience of the use of Python to solve technical problems.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills in English.</li><li>Oral and written communication skills in Danish will be beneficial in this role but not essential.</li></ul><p>Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:</p><ul><li>Ability to investigate new ideas and not rely on tried and trusted methods.</li><li>Good oral and written communication skills</li><li>Open minded and able interact with colleagues of varying experience and backgrounds, both in person and online.</li><li>Independent, focused, and structured and can work in a multi discipline environment.</li><li>Ability to be self-critical to ensure that delivery is accurate and meets our high standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Work at the heart of sustainable change</strong></p><p>Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company.
