Do you want to be a part of creating a new IKEA?
We are looking for 4 Shopkeepers for Market Hall and 4 Shopkeepers for Showroom for our new city store in Copenhagen. This Customer Meeting Point will be classified as an IKEA Small Store and will be situated in the city center of Copenhagen, where we will bring IKEA closer to the many people.

IKEA Copenhagen will be IKEA Denmark’s first city store and one of three Customer Meeting Points in the greater Copenhagen area, with a clear aim of creating a convenient omnichannel customer experience with a one-market approach.

The store will be welcoming over 3 million visitors yearly, where we will inspire the many Copenhageners with affordable and smart home furnishing solutions with a strong focus on sustainable living and local market relevance. This allows us to maintain and expand our customer base and strengthen our growth agenda within the Copenhagen market.

The store will offer a selected range of Home Furnishing accessories and small furniture items for immediate takeaway. Through strong inspiration, we will show the width of our home furnishing offer that our customers can order with relevant services.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for you who is an experienced leader, ready to join this exciting build-up journey, developing our business and our people while creating a new IKEA.

You see the connection between an exciting customer journey and maximization of sales and long-term profitability, and you have a solid understanding of commerciality and in-depth knowledge and experience working with IKEA’s concept. You have a passion for driving the business and developing the business through others.
You are an inspiring and passionate leader that has the desire to develop people, create a good foundation for sustainable growth in our market and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment.

To succeed in this assignment, you will create togetherness; build strong relationships, collaborate, and co-create with your many colleagues. You can communicate confidently and clearly in English and have experience with working with others, setting priorities, delegating responsibility, and giving open and honest feedback.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure you have the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time and secure they are fully able to serve customers and actively help them to buy.
• Ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently always stocked with the four merchandising basics in place and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy our customers.
• Ensure to act quickly on commercial opportunities; change the availability of products and customer feedback, set goals, and follow up.
• Understand the different IKEA sales and communication channels and IKEA know-how to make the best commercial use of this information for different customers.
• Plan sales steering in connection with the Commercial Calendar and other business priorities.

Together as a team

We will be a new but also experienced team in a completely new store in the center of Copenhagen. In total, we will be 12 leaders in the function of Sales, and then there will be different teams in different HFBs. We are looking for 8 Shopkeepers both for Market Hall and Showroom. It will be a fast-paced environment where we work closely together with all the functions in the store to give and create the best shopping experience for our customers. Here the keywords will be strong entrepreneurship, strong tactical and operational mindset, simplicity, and most important – togetherness!

OTHER INFORMATION

• This position is for an average of 37 hours pr. week on an individual contract.
• Your working time will vary based on the business need, but with large flexibility within the working week. You will have both evening and weekend work.
• Salary within IKEA’s salary policy is based on your competencies and includes pension.
• We have various staff benefits including private health insurance, massage, staff canteen, staff discount, a discount club with external partners, yearly gift, and bonus.
• Start date 1st of April 2023.
