As the OT systems Engineer, you will execute and deploy the technical OT activities and solutions in supporting the current and future Automation, IT/OT workstream for the large-scale multi-purpose facilities in our Copenhagen site.
About the Team

As an OT Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining a collection of systems critical to our bulk biopharmaceutical API production. You will serve as the Technical System Owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring the systems are optimized, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and external partners to define the systems' lifecycle strategy and support project handover into the operational environment.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Engage in key strategic digitalization initiatives as we embark on our digitalization journey in pharmaceutical production at AGC Biologics including implementation of electronic batch records (eBR), MES and Process Historian Systems along with Aveva PI.
- Support Automation, Process, and Equipment Engineers in various investment projects, facilitating a strong connection to the operational environment and seamless handover into post-project operation. Handling inquiries from other technical leads daily related to onboarding of new automated process systems including troubleshooting of equipment. You will also play a key role in identifying suitable technological vendors to solve prioritized business requirements.
- Daily operational support: Act as the Technical System Owner and SME for a collection of systems managed by our Automation/OT group in the production environment (such as TruBio Bioprocess Control Software, UNICORNTM, DCS SIMATIC PCS 7, BioPAT® MFCS/win SCADA, among others)
- Lead systems maintenance and life cycle activities and coordinate support, incident, and change management processes.
- Build and secure dedicated expertise to effectively manage the systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and external service partners to define the systems' lifecycle strategy.
- Ensure compliance with applicable prevention, quality, and documentation good practices and procedures.
Desired Competencies:
- Engineering degree (B.Sc., M.Sc. or similar) in industrial automation, information technology, engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of experience as an OT Systems Engineer, ideally in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with experience in any control systems, MES, eBR systems or OSIsoft PI
- Basic knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88/S95 Batch standard
- Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects with structure and coordination with manufacturing, IT, and other departments as needed to ensure their timely completion.
- Knowledge of managing computerized systems through their complete lifecycle
- Proven ability to drive projects and deliver results within defined timelines
- Team-oriented person with a generous mind and a great humor
- Continuous learning mindset of the latest technology trends and instituting innovative thinking/mindset throughout the organization
