The job description
As a manager of test engineers in a software world, your team will collect and refine knowledge and take ownership of planning for quality within their area – as well as being important sparring partners for colleagues in and outside the team.
You and your TestManagement team owns maturation of methods, tools, and processes to ensure cohesive (and automated) testing practices, as well as supporting local team testers while taking part in testing activities to ensure project deliveries.
Although we have a strong test management team in Søborg and strong testing individuals in Lystrup, we know that a lot of good practice and experience can be used even better – so we want you to be the lead for creating and scaling this into a coherent team, building on all the knowledge and experience already here … where the water in Kattegat is not a limitation, just something blue on a map.
We also want you to boost our increasing focus on CI/CD and several levels of test automation, not alone, as all the work we do comes with a great support from all the surrounding technical experts – all who gladly share their vast knowledge.
We work both in scrum teams and project teams, within our working family in the C2 organization of 130+ highly engaged colleagues, in an area of great focus and importance in Terma.
This position is in Lystrup, and the team will cross both Søborg and Lystrup, so some travel between the sites must be expected.

How to succeed in this position?
We expect (or hope) you have:
- Years of experience with managing testing activities in software development, with an understanding of what to best test where and when – and how the tools can support this.
- Documented knowledge of testing with agile development methods (Scrum) as well as more project-oriented process, with an understanding of the values created by Continuous Integration / Delivery.
- But also, a bit of patience – we are on a marvelous journey where the values of software testing are really getting recognized, but we still have some ground to cover.
- And most of all, a passion for people in your team and around, as well as a drive to continue the development path for the people and the team.
Our domain is specialized and vast, and we need all the experts we can get – we are therefore active about your professional development and will support you in building knowledge and technical ownership.
