In our Self Protection Systems organization, we are very busy on several new and extremely exciting projects, thus we are looking for 2 new Systems Engineers to come and join us at our office in Lystrup.
As our new systems engineer your primary responsibility will be to drive technical projects from the requirement stage all the way to product delivery.
The projects which you will lead as a Systems Engineer within the Self Protection Systems organization have a very broad nature, in the sense that we are working with mechanical, electronics and software disciplines and to a large extent the integration of these to become a final product, plus the integration of the product into our customers Airborne solutions.
Role and responsibilities:
Working as a System Engineer at Terma means that you will work with the entire value chain, from understanding customer requirements to integration of solutions at the customer.
You will have a wide range of interfaces and close cooperation with other project participants, counting among other Systems, Mechanical, Electronics & Software Engineers, Testers, and Project Managers for the entire project. While you work, you will gain increasing responsibility of the overall product functionality and performance.

While you work, you will gain increasing responsibility of the overall product functionality and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- To understand the situation of a customer and their needs and requirements, as well as the written and verbal communication, enabling you to transform this knowledge into a technical solution.
- To be responsible for the verification and validation of the complete solution in cooperation with the developing engineers and test engineers.
- To be an important sparring partner for your colleagues in and outside the team.
You will also:
- Participate in test activities necessary to ensure system and project delivery – including tests at the customer site.
- Participate in the team alignment events like planning, refinement, retrospective, and review/demo.
- Spare and knowledge share with your fellow systems engineers in the Self Protection Systems area.

- Ability to work on different layers of technical abstraction (component and full system).
- Ability to communicate technical information on different levels.
- Ability to decompose complex problems and systems into smaller segments.
- Good understanding & experience within the different design phases represented in the V-model.
We imagine that your background might look like this:
- An education within Mechanical, Electronic or Software engineering.
- Experience with system development (preferably systems engineering).
- Experience with project management (but with a technical background).
- Experience with developing systems containing both software and hardware/ Electrical components.
- Experience from involvement in NATO or EU defense projects.
