The position
As the Senior Lab Technician, you'll collaborate with seasoned scientists to facilitate daily operations in the in vitro biology lab. Your tasks include culturing cells, conducting experiments, and analyzing data. While most of your time is in the lab, you'll also handle data processing and reporting. Your role spans routine tasks to innovative work, encompassing equipment management and lab maintenance in our diverse, multinational department.
Your primary tasks will consist of, but are not limited to: Supporting daily in vitro biology lab activities, collaborating closely with experienced scientists Performing various tasks, including culturing mammalian cells, conducting in vitro experiments, and analyzing data Processing and report obtained data according to guidelines Managing equipment and ensure both equipment and general laboratory maintenance Taking responsibility for daily laboratory operations, including planning for experiments, optimizing workflows, and ensuring sufficient cells for experiments.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have: An educational background as a laboratory technician or equivalent 10+ years of practical laboratory experience, emphasizing cellular systems Proficiency in handling human-derived cells and utilizing analytical methods like qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell imaging Strong laboratory skills, adept at conducting high-quality in vitro experiments, and experienced in various methods including reporter-gene assays, real-time PCR, cell transfection, siRNA, qPCR, cell culture, and lab automation systems.
Strong written and spoken English skills are essential for this role.

The Viral Delivery Department is anchored in the RNA and Gene Therapy research area within Nucleic Acid Therapies (GNAT), Novo Nordisk A/S. In our organization, we are developing curative and disease modifying therapies for individuals living with serious chronic conditions, spearheaded via co-creational innovation with external partners. Treatment of disease mechanisms operating inside cells, including gene expression is enabled by emerging intracellular drug modalities. Using state of the art technologies, we are building genome editing and RNA capabilities, and establishing viral and non-viral drug delivery platforms, to enable disease-specific design of nucleic acid therapeutics.
