Smørum
Welcome to our Graduate Programme. We offer you a career in a leading Danish C25 company, that creates life-changing products for people around the world. We will guide you through a two-year journey here at our headquarters, just outside Copenhagen. You will start on 1 September 2024, where you will join four different teams, working with different projects. This will provide you with a broad understanding of tax and business and a good network of people across all functions. You will be given a lot of responsibility from day one to develop your professional and personal skills in the best possible way. After this, you will be offered a permanent position within Group Tax.
As we are operating in more than 30 countries, many of our graduates get the chance to go abroad for half a year, depending on business needs. Besides that, you will join a fantastic network with all the other graduates and can look forward to some fun team days, training sessions and trips to our different business units.

Your journey as a Tax graduate
As a Tax Graduate, you will get a unique chance to get insight into the different areas of corporate tax within the Demant business, which includes Corporate Tax Compliance, M&A and Projects, Transfer Pricing and VAT. You will also get insight into our Shared Service Organization in Stettin, Poland, and our Global Finance Organization. The Tax Graduate program also offers the possibility for a secondment to our US tax department, located in Somerset.
We are looking for profiles interested in corporate income tax, transfer pricing, tax compliance and international tax.
You can expect rotations and tasks that are shaped in conjunction with the current business needs and your own competences and interests. Some of the tasks may include drafting transfer pricing documentation, drafting intercompany contracts, calculating taxes for annual accounts, preparation of tax returns for our Danish companies, calculating the impact of the new global minimum tax rules, oversee tax in M&A deals, enabling tax oriented international projects and process optimization. For the right candidate, a rotation within another department within Group Finance or M&A can also be an option.
Regardless of the tasks, one thing is certain: You will face a steep learning curve with a high degree of responsibility from day one. You will be given a lot of trust, and you will be working on big projects together with inspiring people, in an ever-changing environment where your capabilities are acknowledged.
We would like to get to know you
To apply for our program, you have followed at least one tax related courses and are just about to finish your Master studies in either Business Administration and Commercial Law, Law, or another relevant tax related degree or have graduated no more than 1-2 years ago. You are a constructive team member with good achievements in your studies, through your (student) work experience or extracurricular activities. You have furthermore gained international experience through a semester or internship abroad or similar. And last, you are fluent in English.
As a person, we believe that you like to collaborate with others and have a high trust and enthusiasm for what you do. You are both strategic and pragmatic and go for the effective goal. You have a curious mindset, are hardworking, and - most important - humble.
