The position As Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire AIA portfolio of projects, from resource and budget allocation to execution framework and reporting. To shape the AIA portfolio and maximize value creation, you will collaborate closely with AIA teams. You will report to the Director of AI Delivery and Strategy. Internal partners include data scientists, biostatisticians, engineers, senior stakeholders outside AIA and others across US and Denmark. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Manage the AIA portfolio, driving its prioritization and ensuring data completeness
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc portfolio analytics to drive portfolio decisions
  • Own the reporting process to stakeholders and senior managers regarding AIA portfolio
  • Support project teams in budget and resource management
  • Define and track financial KPI
  • Build, maintain and enhance portfolio management tools and system
    • Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need to have either Master’s degree within biology, mathematics, engineering, physics or related quantitative discipline combined with 5+ years of experience or PhD combined with 3+ years of experience. PhD/MBA preferred. In addition, you need:
  • Strong experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, regulated medical device development or in another regulated field
  • Ability to perform data analysis and present results and conclusions to leadership teams
  • Experience in portfolio management, including definition and tracking of financial indicator
  • Fluent both written and spoken English
    • As a person, you are structured in problem-solving approach and demonstrate strong attention to detail. You have excellent communication skills, including the ability to address a wide range of stakeholders at all organizational levels . Furthermore, you are capable of setting priorities and can manage them in a timely manner. About the department The Portfolio Manager is part of the AI Delivery and Strategy team within the AI & Analytics department. AIA applies sophisticated algorithms and machine learning techniques to some of the hardest problems in the discovery and development of new healthcare solutions. By leveraging a blend of scientific, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, we provide superior data insights that empower Novo Nordisk to further develop and deliver life-changing treatments. We work in multidisciplinary teams with strong collaboration across all areas of the organization and engage in external collaborations to ensure access to cutting edge research and technology.
