Actuarial Manager for Deloitte Denmark
Challenging role as Actuarial Manager in the ARAA department (Actuarial, Risk & Advanced Analytics) that is a specialized and successful business area, where Deloitte offers top of the class advisory and solutions. In the role, you will work with a broad range of clients, in collaboration with highly specialised and experienced colleagues across the Deloitte network, and you will manage actuarial advisory projects and audits with the rest of the ARAA team out of Deloitte’s Danish head office in Copenhagen.
Specialist role, where you will provide expertise and deliver high quality in projects
As a specialist, you will be in close contact with your clients’ businesses, and to whom you will develop, implement, and manage models and projects, make audits, provide advisory about methods, and perform valuations. In your role, you will collaborate with and be exposed to specialists across the ARAA business area and Deloitte branch offices in the Nordics and internationally, and with specialists and decisionmakers at your clients. You will contribute to the execution of ARAA’s strategy, and you will take active part in developing new business opportunities and prioritized service offerings. Your tasks will include to:
A qualified Actuary, who are comfortable with clients and have business acumen
We expect you as the right candidate to be a strong communicator, who has a genuine motivation for satisfying our clients with excellent services. As a person, you are focused, process oriented and with attention to details. In your work, you can manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and still manage to be a good and attentive colleague. Your colleagues and clients will hopefully experience you having a strong drive and flexibility in managing unexpected tasks and situations.
Professionally, you have experience from advisory and consulting or from the industry, and no matter what, you have a distinct motivation for making a difference and creating value within your area of expertise. - develop and implement models and processes together with the clients.
- audit technical provisions and advise on reserving methods for life or non-life insurance.
- advise on financial legislation such as Solvency II or accounting standards for insurance (e.g., IFRS 17).
- perform valuations of life or non-life insurance companies.
- manage projects and develop new business opportunities.
A qualified Actuary, who are comfortable with clients and have business acumen
We expect you as the right candidate to be a strong communicator, who has a genuine motivation for satisfying our clients with excellent services. - Financial educational background as e.g., cand.act. or similar, and with at least 5 years’ practical experience from the insurance sector.
- Specialist within the actuarial field from either life or non-life insurance.
- Fluent in English and Danish, both in writing and verbally, and skills in other Scandinavian language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.
