The job
As a Senior Contracts Engineer in the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) department, you will be able to shape and develop a central role with great influence in driving functional excellence in the department, through streamlined local and global processes.
In parallel, you will work with internal stakeholders to manage high risk and high value service contracts to deliver maximum value. You will be able to use your knowledge and expertise by applying a range of techniques when you prepare and present cases to the affiliate Local Contracts Committee and other Contracts Boards, where required.
In addition to the above, you will have the responsibility for generating complex strategies, issuing tenders, negotiating with suppliers, and executing contracts in alignment with Company processes and procedures.

The job

You will be able to use your knowledge and expertise by applying a range of techniques when you prepare and present cases to the affiliate Local Contracts Committee and other Contracts Boards, where required.
In addition to the above, you will have the responsibility for generating complex strategies, issuing tenders, negotiating with suppliers, and executing contracts in alignment with Company processes and procedures.
Some of the responsibilities will be:
- Delivering top quartile contract management, in line with best practices to meet commercial performance objectives and manage the risks associated with the delivery of contracted materials and/or services, in order to meet technical, HSE and statutory requirements
- Negotiating with suppliers to ensure that competitive contractual conditions are obtained and adhered to throughout the contract lifecycle
- Coordinating interactions between multiple stakeholders e.g., asset, end users, finance, HSE, legal, TGP, affiliate management on C&P related matters
- Ensuring diligent administration, filing and update of all the documents in SAP and the central drive
- Liaising with TotalEnergies Global Procurement (TGP) and TotalEnergies’ affiliates globally, to ensure value optimisation by leveraging economies of scale and best practices.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has a strong experience within strategic and tactical purchasing. You understand how to navigate your way around, and apply the terms of, a complex contract; minimising the risk exposure of the Company at all times.
It is important that you possess a safety mindset and address the job with a strong understanding of the business and people.
The ideal candidate would have:
- A relevant educational background
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role
- A strong commercial awareness and business acumen, including experience in contract management and contractual and commercial negotiation
- Are a great communicator, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Are a team player. We are a group of people that thrive in a cooperative environment
