This role demands a balance of technical acumen, market insight, and a passion for understanding and advocating the needs of our users. The successful candidate will be instrumental in steering our product strategy to maintain and grow our position as a leader in the dental industry. Our current portfolio of intraoral scanners can be found via this link: https://www.3Shape.com/en/scanners/triosIn this role you will be part of a dynamic and agile Product Management team, working closely together with R&D and Marketing, being jointly responsible for maintaining and developing intraoral scanner solutions used by dentists in all phases of their work – from 1st scheduled visit to final treatment and monitoring of patients. The role is primarily focused on hardware – but there are also software elements involved.You will also focus on understanding the needs of the dental clinic who want to take full advantage of digital aids. You will turn this understanding into user stories and development tasks for our hardware engineering teams and ensure delivery through close communication and dialogue with developers, architects, and project managers. Further you will play a key role in driving adoption of newly developed products and features. To accomplish this, you will need to spend time physically with our users at the dental clinics – and some travel will therefore be expected if this role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full product lifecycle of intraoral scanners, from conception through launch and iteration.
  • Deeply understand and articulate user needs, transforming them into viable, competitive products.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to ensure product specifications meet user requirements effectively.
  • Manage product roadmaps, aligning with strategic objectives and market opportunities.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product alignment with user, market, and organizational needs.
  • Develop and deliver compelling product presentations to diverse audiences.
    • Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in technology-related fields; experience in the dental industry is a bonus.
  • A strong engineering background, coupled with comfort in handling commercial and business-oriented tasks. Non-engineering applicants may be considered if product management experience is very strong.
  • Proven capability in stakeholder management and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for conveying technical details in a digestible manner.
  • A track record of understanding and advocating for user needs in product development.

  • Visit customers and understand their needs and pains.
  • Investigate dental trends.
  • Provide input to competitiveness research.
  • Create User Stories and acceptance criteria for new ideas.
  • Facilitate impact/effort estimation of tasks.
  • Prioritize the backlog.
  • Demo your products to customers and partners.
  • Present status overview of your products to senior management.

  • You have flair for computer technology and the ability to translate customer and market needs into successful products
  • You are driven and enjoy working independently while being able to build strong relationships with colleagues, users, and business partners
  • You are a great team player, who is energized by collaborating cross-functionally with many different stakeholders to manage interests, goals, and priorities
