Product Designer

Join Omada’s CTPO organization where you get an instrumental role in the design of our award-winning cyber security product within the Identity and Access Management area.

We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our engineering team where you get to specify and design new features for our product. In doing so you will be working closely together in distributed SCRUM teams with our talented engineers in Spain, Poland, and Denmark.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Product Designer you work closely with our product owners and engineering teams to understand the problems we need to solve for our customers, and you design solutions that have a high level of usability and an industry leading design.

During the product discovery work for new features, you will create early prototypes and mockups for user testing, and during product delivery you are the anchor person for the product’s overall design, and you will support the engineering teams in creating a coherent user experience that conforms to the overall design.

We are currently undergoing a large modernization project of our product’s end-user facing web portal, so your position as Product Designer will be central in making sure they build the next wave of value generating, innovative and friendly user experience that their customers will love to use.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Partner with product owners and feature teams to synthesize requirements into product designs and user stories to support the specifications of the solutions needed
• Prepare early prototypes and mockups to visualize potential product design of new features that can be tested early
• Perform usability testing with end-users, partners, and colleagues from other departments partners and other stakeholders
• Collect user feedback and drive innovation to improve the products usability and design
• Recommend alternative approaches to solving the problems for the end-users

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

In this position, you will draw upon your design experience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and your passion for creating reliable and maintainable products and services. You should be open to new challenges, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. You drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with product management and engineering teams to solve problems and implement new product capabilities.

We expect of you:

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX designer within a technology environment, with a proven record of successful delivery of strong product designs
• A great eye for visual design, and well-developed skills for designing UI demonstrated in a portfolio or presentation of work
• Ability to explain your work and decisions to end-users, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders, and gather constructive feedback to produce your best work
• Experience using Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD. Omada is using Figma
• Effective English written and oral communication with multiple levels of business
• Experience working with software development teams is a plus
