As a Student Assistant in the M&A team, you will join a small, dedicated and energetic team of colleagues, who has a high-level responsibility, exposure and focus form top management. VIKING’s M&A team performs a range of tasks within the fields of M&A. That involves pre-screening of targets, industry and market analyses, attending and facilitating workshops, valuation modelling and many more interesting tasks. The student assistant will also get the opportunity to work with consultancy-related tasks and assist the strategy department with various jobs.

Student assistants are an important part of the VIKING organization. Many of our students also complete their internships with us and write their thesis about real life projects and challenges in VIKING.

Your primary responsibilities and tasks includes:

• Performing market research and analysis
• Financial statement analysis
• Valuation modelling
• Supporting with due diligence, post-merger integration etc.
• Assisting with facilitation of workshops related to M&A
• Preparation of presentations for management and clients
• Ad hoc tasks and assistance to the Corporate Strategy team

You will work approximately 15-20 hours a week (2-3 full days) – with flexibility around exam periods. The job comes with the option to work from our satellite office in Aarhus or headquarter in Esbjerg.

Your profile
The ideal candidate is currently studying a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration, Economics or any related study with a strong interest in business, economics and strategy and have at least 1 year left of studies.

• Thrive in a busy global environment and bring a can-do attitude
• Possess analytical skills to make sure decisions are based on data and facts, to the maximum extent possible
• Can maintain a sense of humor, even when the workload is high

Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
