Bjerringbro

Would you like to participate in developing software for future products and platforms within embedded software development at Grundfos?

Then join the SW Platform & Architecture department in Bjerringbro. We are responsible for developing embedded software from low level hardware drivers to application layer features for our complete product portfolio. In this position as product owner, you work with defining and prioritizing backlog for your software development teams. You will be part of a department consisting of product owners, architechs, SCRUM Masters and software developers where you will report to Senior Manager, Erik Adam Schulz Laursen:

“You will join a team of experienced specialists who both complement and challenge each other, to continuously do better and develop the best solutions. “, Erik says.

What is the job about?

Your key tasks will be to specify and prioritize the software backlog, so it is prepared for the embedded software teams in your area of responsibility. To do this you will have a close cooperation with our business developers, project stakeholders, product owners, software architects and the development teams.

Your main responsibilities:

Ensuring that the software backlogs for your embedded software development teams are visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the development team will work on next.
Creating, specifying, and maintaining backlog items in cooperation with business, peer product owners and architects.
Be available for development teams to clarify and discuss ambiguities.
Participate in software development governance and feature model governance within software development.
Coordination and alignment of dependencies with other product owners and teams including proactive stakeholder management. There will be elements of project management in this position.

It is an advantage if you understand development of embedded systems and have application knowledge from water systems. Understanding of working in a global organization across different cultures and development sites is a plus.

“The challenge in this position lies in transforming business and technology needs into tangible backlog items through collaboration with relevant stakeholders. It requires that you can have focus on both short- and long-term needs ensuring that our short-term goals do not block long-term requirements”, Erik explains.

Your background:

What we are looking for in you is your ability to transform business and technology needs into an executable backlog combined with some project management experience. Any understanding of the products we deliver is highly beneficial, and you probably hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. Also, you have excellent communication and facilitation skills, enabling you to work with software professionals as well as business organization on technical projects.

What’s in it for you?

Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path. You’ll be welcomed from day one into an inclusive, trusting environment guided by six core values.

In addition, your day-to-day benefits include:

If you’ll be working from your home office, we’ll make sure you are well equipped with a good workstation. However, you are always welcome to our offices where you can engage, learn, and have fun with colleagues
On top of it, flexible working hours and up to 3 days’ additional paid leave for volunteering of your choice
Annual bonuses, health insurance, parental support, internal well-being consultants and programmes
Access to the modern Grundfos Academy to pursue further both personal and professional development
Diverse, inclusive environment with employee-led forums offering colleagues a safe place to connect and share openly
