Group Procurement Category Manager
Are you passionate about purchasing and would you like to be in a role with your own areas of responsibility? Then it might be you that we are looking for: look at this exciting position as Group Procurement Category Manager.
If you have a few years' experience in purchasing raw materials, a great interest in your field of expertise and the desire to take responsibility for the best cooperation agreements on a global level, then you are already well on your way.
You can look forward to becoming part of a successful growth company, but still with people at the center. You will be given a key position in relation to purchasing in a role where you can make a great impact.
Your primary task will be:
As Procurement Category manager, you will have the Group category responsibility for “Flavour and Compounds”, additives and 3rd party suppliers. Furthermore, responsibility for a significant budget across locations and to be an active participant in daily projects and activities.
Theoretical background:
You hold a master’s degree in business or similar or come with a food technology background equivalent education.

- You will identify and categorize the total spend for each category
- Understand the total cost structure
- Identify synergies across the Royal Unibrew Group
- Proactive supporting development of new product, together with suppliers and New Product Development team (NPD)
- Optimize and improve recipes together with suppliers and NPD
- Create and drive supplier and category strategy locally and across the Group.
- Negotiation of contracts
- Develop a strategic framework with our suppliers.
Theoretical background:
You hold a master’s degree in business or similar or come with a food technology background equivalent education.
Professional background:
- Several years of experience within purchasing and category management preferably from the food industry or related industry. Alternatively, it will be fine with a commercial background in flavor & compounds and that the candidate has the technical background.
- You are experienced and have excellent abilities within stakeholder management.
- Experience in working with product development and understanding of R&D.
- A good understanding of how the cost base is in products / raw materials.
- Experience in analyzing suppliers' capabilities.
- Experience in building a strong strategic supplier base
- Experience in developing cooperation with suppliers
Personal qualities:
- Business oriented who naturally takes ownership of the category.
- Passionate and with a strong drive
- Team player and able to build relationships internally
- Good at developing collaboration with suppliers and creating relationships at the right levels.
- Service oriented and aware of how to help others and strengthen collaboration across the organization.
- Pragmatic.
- Analytical approach to the tasks and with the ability to handle complex issues.
- Independent and self-driving
- Unpretentious and sociable.
