DLF Beet Seed is a global seed company with a long and successful history in breeding and production of sugar beet and fodder beet seed. The company markets the seed to more than 35 countries, employs 340 people and has breeding and seed production sites in several locations in Denmark as well as in Sweden, Italy, France, and the USA.
Process and production optimization to achieve optimal germination
DLF Beet Seed is dedicated to supplying the best seed products on the market that meet the customers’ wishes and needs for optimal germination. This places great demands on the quality of the product and generates a constant focus on optimizing the various phases of the breeding process.
In the newly created position as Quality Data Controller, it will be your responsibility to analyse the many quality parameters uncovered in the various processes and, together with a team of skilled process and production managers, ensure continuous improvement of the processes and a product of the highest quality.
Some of your primary tasks are:
You will collaborate with colleagues across several departments in the organisation and you will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
Analytical profile with an understanding of quality systems and good communicative skills
There can be several educational entry points for the job. However, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, agronomy or another education associated with plant, environmental or food science will be a solid professional foundation. The most important thing is though that you already have solid experience with complex data analysis and quality systems.
Your task consists in part of analysing large amounts of data, which means that you will benefit from your distinct structuring skills and your ability to immerse yourself in complex contexts and spot trends in the large data sets. Your communicative and counselling skills will come into play when communicating optimization proposals to relevant stakeholders.
One of the success criteria in the position will be your ability to analyse, summarize and digest big amount of data. Another will be your ability to identify problems and find and present solutions. You show great professional curiosity, commitment, and team spirit. You are proficient in both oral and written English. It will be an advantage if you master Danish and/or French – but it is not a requirement.

- Secure the quality of the seed in the process operations
- Provide documented consultancy to site process managers regarding seed quality
- Analyse and improve quality in the different seed processes and formulate recommendations working with different teams in the organisation
- Participate in the evaluation of Product Quality Standards to be used in processing
