In this specific job, you will get to work on CAPEX and investment-related projects at our Copenhagen site, ensuring a top-tuned main production site.

A highly international organization
Xellia Pharmaceuticals, owned by Novo Holdings A/S, is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on providing important anti-infective treatments against serious and often life-threatening infections. We are approx. 1800 international colleagues with HQ in Copenhagen and production plants, sales offices and R&D facilities around the globe.
You will join our Global Indirect and Investments Procurement team where four colleagues responsible for investment procurement, indirect procurement and GxP compliance are ready to welcome you. We work closely with our colleagues in the Cleveland and Budapest offices, and right now, we are working on the upgrade of our Copenhagen site.

Assist on all CAPEX and investment-related projects at site Copenhagen
Your main focus will be on our site in Copenhagen where you will work on all our CAPEX and investment-related projects. The site is due for an upgrade, and you will have a high degree of stakeholder contact when coordinating with e.g., site management, Operations/Production, project managers, Engineering, etc. It is all about making sure we make the right investments and meet cGMP and Annex 1 standards now and in the future.
Specifically, you will:
- assist with sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contracting and monitor any possible re-negotiations
- develop the procurement plan (preparation, development and execution)
- manage our supplier relationships (set supplier KPIs, performance evaluation, disputes, shop visits, making/issuing change orders and delivery expedition)
- manage our supplier portfolio to enhance stability and improve supplier networks while also doing some change management on supplier exit and onboarding
- work closely with your colleagues in Cleveland on everything from running tenders to day-to-day procurement tasks, sharing information and best practices.
“Upgrading our Copenhagen site is a massive investment in terms of building renovation and equipment.
So there will be a lot of preparation, contracting,
coordination and many other exciting tasks to get your hands on along the way,” Thomas says.
Technical knowledge and experience from a similar role

- have a degree in engineering or business administration combined with some years of experience from a similar role
- have good technical knowledge, allowing you to talk to your many stakeholders
- have experience with the AB18 framework
- are fluent in both Danish and English
- would like to travel 10-30 days per year within Europe and to the US to meet with suppliers.
