We are looking for a product owner in Payments ready to share and grow
Payments are at the heart of a Banking institution and must continue a yearlong responsibility of providing payments and payment card experiences in a safe and regulated way. We must continuously develop products across new threats and opportunities with new technologies such as wallets, blockchain, and third-party and fintech party solutions.
Right now, we are looking for you, a skilled product owner to join us on the journey ahead.
Payments is the most exciting domain in BEC, as 2023 marks the start of one of the largest Nordic infrastructure projects combined with a tech-up modernization of BEC’s payment platform. A transformation journey that is most challenging and at the same time, being strategic and so rightly timed for BEC.
Your base will be at Langebjerg, Roskilde joining the Product Management Team where currently 8 out of the 98 payments enthusiast (we call colleagues) will welcome you as our future teammate.

Primary tasks and responsibilities
In the position as product owner, you will work closely with customers and Payment’s delivery teams. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

Preferably, you have an educational background at BSc in Science or Business and/or 3-5 years of experience from a similar position working as product owner and/or business analyst, in the Payments industry.

In the position as product owner, you will work closely with customers and Payment’s delivery teams. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Owns product strategy and ensures it aligns with BEC's overall business strategies
- Understands user needs through interaction with client end-users
- Build, refine and prioritizes the team backlog and collects end-user & stakeholder input
- Facilitate and write/derive features for the team
- Proactively secure alignment with product owners inside and outside of your own product area
- Together with the team, define user stories, drive refinement, establish accept criteria and accept stories
- Handles deviations in economy and scope – and reports larger deviations to product manager and/or other stakeholders
- Close collaboration with development manager for the team
