Do you want to be a part of our Regional Investment team where you will be responsible for planning and follow up on site execution work and commissioning work, and would you like to manage the whole project process from idea generation to hand-over to end users? Then you might be our new colleague as Project Manager.
About the position
As Project Manager, you will be a part of a team consisting of five colleagues with direct reference to the Regional Investment Manager of the Nordic and Baltic Region. You are, among other things, responsible for managing the communication among the involved project stakeholders and supporting the authorization process in cooperation with the Aalborg Portland functions when needed.
In addition, you will carry out the following tasks:
Your profile
You are preferably educated within Mechanical Engineering and have 8+ years of work experience from the construction/contractor industry or from industrial facilities related to heavy industrial fields such as steel, cement plants, oil & gas, or power plant. It is important that you are available and willing to travel as business trips within the region will compose 20% of the working hours. You are good at collaborating and have a good ability to create relationships and network across the organization.

About the position
As Project Manager, you will be a part of a team consisting of five colleagues with direct reference to the Regional Investment Manager of the Nordic and Baltic Region. You are, among other things, responsible for managing the communication among the involved project stakeholders and supporting the authorization process in cooperation with the Aalborg Portland functions when needed.
In addition, you will carry out the following tasks:
- Collection of project ideas, required information, sort, and clarify the concept
- Preparation of Basic/conceptual design works for project ideas, flow sheets, general budget requirements, feasibility studies and project time scheduling to be presented in Business Cases for project approval
- Cost controlling and forecasting
- Provides progress report for payments authorization according with certified work’s progress,
- Claim management
- Be part of the project technical committee and informs all the members on the overall schedule and costs progress
- Guarantee the full compliance with the Safety national rules and standards
- Basic regulation and permitting process information for preparing the required information for Environmental permit and Construction permits phases together with Environmental Department
- Tender documentation, scope definition, pricing, and international contracts experience
Your profile
You are preferably educated within Mechanical Engineering and have 8+ years of work experience from the construction/contractor industry or from industrial facilities related to heavy industrial fields such as steel, cement plants, oil & gas, or power plant. It is important that you are available and willing to travel as business trips within the region will compose 20% of the working hours. You are good at collaborating and have a good ability to create relationships and network across the organization.
Further, we imagine that you:
- Have knowledge about basic process and alternative fuel systems used in Cement industry
- Have multi-disciplinary experience in industrial plant design and construction (process, civil, structural, mechanical and basic electrical)
- Are skilled in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Are capable to use design software to issue basic design solutions in case of need (preferably Autocad and/or Solid Works)
- Are capable to use planning software (preferably MS Project)
- Are fluent in English both in written and verbal
