Picking up your coffee and starting the day with a ‘good morning’ to your colleagues at the coffee machine. Discussing what needs to be the priority of today, and listening in on, where your efforts are most needed at this moment. Returning to your own desk and calendar, aligning activity preferences with the Project Managers and following up on risks and issues with the project team and Managers. A lot of input for ‘just another day in the office’ – and you instinctively have just the plan for how to make this the best day for yourself and for your dedicated colleagues. The Project Coordinator role and key responsibilities
As Project Coordinator you will be supporting several development projects throughout the project lifecycle. You will be a part of a new established PMO department and work closely together with more Project Managers on ensuring high level of project management and coordination on projects, which will support Terma application areas and focus primarily on Product Development including Systems Engineering, Software, Hardware and Mechanical disciplines.
The project coordination activities include taking part in initiation and planning of projects, coordination and follow up on project execution, and supporting on project and portfolio status reporting. As you will be a part of a PMO department, a key element of your job, will also include to collect lessons learnt and continuously work on improving the way we work with projects in Terma.
You thrive in a dynamic project environment, around many colleagues with different project interests. You have strong communication skills and an analytical mindset, which enables you to help teams and project stakeholders to get from ‘discussing things’ to ‘getting things done’. You are able to convert complex discussions into relatable plans and actions, which enables the teams to move forward. And you can see yourself working closely with a strong team of Project Managers, where communication, status transparency and priority alignment is essential on a daily basis.
If you are the right candidate for this position, you will be a part of a new PMO function with focus on developing the future internal project manager competence center in Terma. You will be able to contribute to the implementation of internal project management best practices and be engaged in change management activities.
Within the PMO function, you will potentially have the opportunity over time to change into other PMO roles related to project management, process excellence and portfolio management, dependent on your career interests and talents.

How to succeed in this position?
Your professional qualifications
- Some experience working with development projects, and preferable as team lead or coordinator on more projects
- Relevant education, e.g., within Engineering, Business, Administration, or similar
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
- Insight or experience in different project models, including agile development is preferred
- You are an experienced MS Office package user, especially in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and preferable Project
- You might also have experience with goJIRA.

- You are energized by working with people and projects, and are driven by continuously learning and improving ways of working
- Stakeholder Management is one of your main skills - you are good at communicating with colleagues and enjoy building new relationships across other functions and departments
