We are looking for a colleague to join the team of our client in wind industry.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a degree deemed to be equivalent, with basic knowledge of electric power system
- More than 5 years experiences in relevant fields will be considered as a plus
- Knowledge and/or experiences in at least of one of the following areas: HVDC,
- Electric Power System Analysis, Protection Relays, Automatic Control Theory, Power System Simulation
- Understanding of Closed Loop Control, Open Loop Control, DC protection, SCADA, Functional and Dynamic Performance of the HVDC Control & Protection Systems
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Site work experiences and/or the acceptance of engineering travels are preferred
- Adequate communication skills for effective cooperation with colleagues, partners, customers and other necessary stakeholders
- Willing to and capable of working with challenges, uncertainties and flexibilities
Tasks:
- Representative of the Electrical Infrastructure line organization towards the asset project, ensuring the Control and Projection package is delivered according to our clients standards and ways of working. Engage with the wider organization e.g. technical authorities for handling deviations to the standard
- Working in collaboration with the design team to prepare the following deliverables /provide the following services (non-exhaustive list):
- Prepare conceptual design of the complex projects
- Carry out/ review/ analyze complex technical studies and project scopes
- Develop/ review technical specifications, drawings, and standards of equipment/ project
- Review the design basis memorandum, detailed engineering scope and guide the assigned discipline engineers to align the engineering deliverables according to project requirement
- Be an integral part of the delivery of accurate and thorough electrical design that will meet industry standards and specifications to meet good engineering practices
- Maintain complete project documentation with respect to engineering studies and calculations, all design packages, as-built requirements and return data information
- Maintain good working relationship with internal groups that support the project such as other Engineering disciplines, Drafting, Procurement, Construction and Project Management etc.
- Site installation support, commissioning, sub-system test and system test of HVDC Control & Protection System
- Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business
- Be accountable for delivering the Designated Package within financial project objectives taking the entire lifecycle perspective into account, according to project programme and to defined quality expectations
- Drive safety through the entire project lifecycle to maintain high levels of health and safety performance and to deliver inherently safer projects and working environments
- Manage supplier interaction alongside other internal stakeholders during contract execution phase and ensure contractor compliance of contractual obligations
- Ensure that all dedicated interfaces to other work packages are identified and closed
- Ensure strong connection to Engineering department, ensuring tasks and resourcing of package are agreed with line organization and fulfilled to meet project’s needs
Pro-actively share knowledge, engage in the Electrical Infrastructure team and contribute to the exchange of learnings and improvements
