Internal Auditor

Do you want to perform internal audits in a listed Danish company? Are you passionate about combining business insights and auditing? Are you skilled in IT (preferably ACL) and do you thrive when service and communication are on your daily agenda? Internal Audit is based in Vejen, but we interact with the whole Solar Group, and we are motivated by our visits to Solar's subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Poland. Solar is listed on the Danish stock exchange, and Internal Audit reports to the board of Solar A/S.

What will you be doing?
“Your main task will be to provide an independent assurance that Solar's risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively. To succeed in that, you must be able to combine your business process understanding, accounting, and auditing skills. Furthermore, you must be prepared that no two days are the same, and if you have great ideas, we listen” Christina Liljegren, Head of Internal Audit.

A typical workday would consist of:

• Identification of control weaknesses/strengths in the internal processes – with a subsequent update of the risk assessments.
• Development and execution of efficient methods for obtaining a reasoned belief about an audit area.
• Audits across the group, e.g., you carry out an audit of the quality of reconciliations of a specific area or policy, of Solar's risk assessments or of travel settlements.
• Preparation of written material which you present to a CFO in a Solar subsidiary, or your immediate manager will bring it to the audit committee meetings.
• Review of Solar's quarterly reports.

You must expect 5-8 travel days a year.

What do you bring to the table?
We expect that you have a minimum of 5 years' experience within auditing or maybe you have been employed at a larger group, where you held positions such as a Financial Controller. It will be ideal if you are used to work in SAP.

You will make a difference to Solar, when you present improvement proposals at the internal controls in a systematic, empathetic, and friendly manner. You must be able to present praise as well as suggestions for improvements in an objective and substantiated manner with respect for the recipient.

In Solar and in especially in the Audit team, we value professionalism. With a professional certainty, we carry out and complete a review of a quarterly report effectively.

You will be part of a small team consisting of 3 employees including you, and you will report to Head of Internal Audit.

The company language is English and hence, it will be an advantage if you speak and write English at a relatively high level. Whether you speak and write Danish means less.

Terms of employment
Salary is negotiated based on qualifications. You will get a job in Vejen, including a flexibility to work from home.
