Summary:
We are looking to strengthen our Financial Controlling & Reporting Team with an ESG Controller. You will be joining a dynamic team in our Copenhagen office, reporting directly to Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting. Our work environment is characterized by a high degree of sparing and knowledge sharing with other team members as well as interaction with the rest of Group Finance.

Summary:
We are looking to strengthen our Financial Controlling & Reporting Team with an ESG Controller. You will be joining a dynamic team in our Copenhagen office, reporting directly to Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting. Our work environment is characterized by a high degree of sparing and knowledge sharing with other team members as well as interaction with the rest of Group Finance.
What can you expect in as an ESG Controller at Scandinavian Tobacco Group?
- Develop and implement efficient CSRD reporting processes
- Develop and maintain ESG Accounting Principles
- Develop and maintain ESG Reporting Manual and Data Collection Manuals
- Develop, implement and maintain ESG data reporting tool for ESG reporting with clear link to external ESG reporting (including training of data collectors)
- Quarterly (later monthly) controlling of ESG reporting to ensure detailed quality control of the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of ESG data according to defined accounting standards
- Drive continuous improvements to streamline ESG data collection, management, and consolidated reporting
- Close collaboration with “Financial Compliance” in relation to implementation of internal controls and getting limited assurance on the ESG reporting for 2024 (later reasonable assurance)
- Ensure ongoing compliance with CSRD
- Closely monitoring CSRD developments and building networks with peers on CSRD interpretations and best practices
- Participate in developing internal ESG Management reporting incl. forecasting on ESG KPIs
- Support ad-hoc tasks such as integration of acquired companies
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
- You are passionate about working with ESG/Sustainability
- Proven working experience within ESG/Sustainability and with the tasks listed above. We do not expect the right candidate to be an expert in all the above areas, but rather that you have the will to learn and familiarize yourself with new things
- You have a relevant educational background which would most likely be a Bachelor or Master’s Degree, or other relevant education
- Thorough knowledge within developing accounting principles and procedures
- You take pride in detail, you are dedicated and meticulous, whenever you take on a project or task
- Working towards deadlines comes naturally to you
- You can see the big picture and be motivated to dive into the details
- You are a self-starter, who is comfortable driving the process, whilst following the timeline
- You are energized with strong stakeholder management
- You are proficient in both written and spoken English
