BUSINESS CONTROLLER

You will have an important role in supporting the consortium Danske Patruljeskibe K/S, which consists of Terma A/S, OMT Naval and Pension Danmark, where support functions are provided by Terma A/S.

Your primary tasks

Controlling

• Preparation of monthly consolidated financial reporting to the consortium's extended management team, the consortium board, and the joint external steering committee with FMI.
• Collaboration with the finance function at Terma, which handles the ERP system, bookkeeping, payments, VAT/tax, month-end closing and accounting and has developed the consolidation model.
• Collaboration with the owners of the consortium project controllers in connection with cost management and variance explanations, forecasting and cost-to-complete.
• Preparation of consolidated Risk Management reporting to the consortium's extended management team, the consortium board and the joint external steering group with the Danish Defence.
• Collaboration with FMI's internal auditor in relation to ongoing auditing of costs and calculation principles according to the open-book principle towards the FMI.

Business Analysis

• Business case and cash-flow calculations for the program as a whole
• Assist the consortium management with ad-hoc financial analyses, quantification of risks, etc.
• Collaboration with Pension Danmark's program organization in connection with their role as financing partner and guarantor.
• Collaboration with OMT Naval's program organization regarding review of Product Cost Model and cost estimation of ship
• Collaboration with Terma's program organization regarding costing of the weapon and sensor systems selected by the Danish defence.

Some travel days may occur between Terma’s two offices in connection with meetings

Your professional & personal qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Business Economics, International Management, Business Administration or similar.
• Among the top performers in your team.
• Solid understanding of economic principles and financial contexts
• Your profile is goal-orientated, analytical, structured and you like to make a difference.
• High integrity, reliability, structured and detail-orientated.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and are a proficient Excel user. You have experience working with Excel models with a focus on financial management (e.g. budget and consolidation models and further advantageous if you have knowledge of cash flow modelling, DCF, ROIC, investment, etc.)
• You must strive for high performance, be service-minded and have a desire to engage with the owner companies' programme organisations and processes, and enjoy working at a cross-functional level.
• Well-developed business acumen and you are able to combine your analytical skills/knowledge with an interest in understanding project content and risks
• You have good presentation skills (primarily Power Point, Word) and know how to transform complex financial analyses and numbers in Excel into clear recommendations and conclusions that bring value to the consortium management.
• You are goal oriented with integrity and responsibility in relation to meet deadlines, and you thrive in a busy working day with numerous parallel activities.
• You are fluent in Danish and English

Experience

• A few years of experience is an advantage, but not a requirement for the position. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply, as long as you have the talent and the right personality profile
• Experience (internship, part-time or full-time) in a corporate function in a medium or large company or large consultancy
• Experience with consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Experience as a Business Consultant, Business Analyst, Business Controller, Controller or similar.
