Your role and responsibilities

Your key function as a Business Area Business Controller is to support the business through proactive planning, controlling, and performance analysis. Additionally, you will support and steer BA Finance’s way of working by implementing efficient processes, effective reporting, and optimal system use. To be successful in the role, you promote collaboration across divisions and work to enhance the business area dimension.

Your main tasks:

• Enable decision making by providing Head of BA and BA Management Team with relevant and accurate information on business performance.
• Internal support, coordination, and professional development of business controllers in the BA.
• Contribute to development and implementation of common Finance activities for Building Nordics and [xxxxx] Group.
• Ensure that BA's reporting to Management and Group fulfils requirements and provide comments and analysis on BA performance.
• Drive and develop Budget/Forecast processes, tools & systems, and guidelines within the Business Area, in alignment with what is [xxxxx] common.
• Set the BA pre-requisites (Plan-to-Perform) Budget/Forecast and continuous development of the process.
• Provide the framework for effective financial business reporting within the BA and to the Group by improving reporting requirements, processes, and IT system.

Your profile 

We are looking for someone that has the right attitude and interest in our business, and in your own development. You have excellent communication skills, and you consider change and development as a constant part of your work life.

Basic qualifications are:

• Relevant academic background in Business, Finance or other.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as controller or certified accountant.
• Knowledge in Business Performance reporting, and Business Performance Analysis.
• Good skills in IT and Power BI.
• Be able to work independently and lead both innovation and implementation projects.

We operate in a world of constant change, which also requires having an eye for efficiency and a drive to implement new, smart solutions in our work processes. Experience in the construction industry and working on production projects with POC (percentage of completion) profit recognition is advantageous but not required. You communicate fluently in English and one of the Nordic languages, both verbally and in writing.

Additional information 

The position is based in Malmö or Copenhagen region. We do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally – but travels to other offices and constructions projects is required as part of the job. You will report to Head of Finance in the Business Area.
