Do you have experience in international project sales for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and can you maintain and develop business areas in South America, Asia and Europe?

If YES, we might have the job for you – we are looking for an experienced sales profile for the role of Senior Sales Manager.

Based at our headquarters in Esbjerg, Denmark, you will report to the Global Fire Sales Director. This is a unique opportunity to join VIKING Fire and a team of 26 colleagues in the Global Fire Segment and PPE Fire Products organization, with the world as your workplace.

Join us
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting VIKING Fire's products to fire departments - either directly or through distributors.

The role includes both project sales to existing customers as well as developing new customer areas. We expect you to have experience with project and distributor sales and be used to operating in an international environment with a focus on long-term relationships and building a solid pipeline.

For many years, the position has been held by a highly experienced colleague. He is retiring in 2024 and we want to “pass the torch” as soon as possible, so there is plenty of time to hand over tasks and responsibilities.

Tasks include:

  • Project sales, tenders and sales support with a focus on maintaining and developing long-term customer relationships
  • Arranging customer meetings – in person or via Teams, as well as identifying future sales opportunities
  • Attending exhibitions and meetings with suppliers
  • Establishing and maintaining close contact with dealers, customers and other external relations
  • Keeping abreast of developments in products, markets, customers and competitors
  • Participating in the preparation of sales forecasts, marketing plans and budgets
  • Sales-related tasks, including quoting and following up on sales orders
  • Development and sparring through a global network

You can expect 50-60 global travel days per year.

Your background
To be successful, you have experience from a similar position and preferably a relevant educational background within sales and textiles. You have good communication skills and are passionate about customer relations.

As the customer's professional advisor, you will find the most cost-effective solutions that meet their needs. Your working style is relationship-building, innovative and professional - with a "can do" attitude.

Your personality is also important. We expect you to be proactive, curious, detail-orientated and self-driven. And you have the ability to create strong cross-functional collaborations - both internally and externally.

The prerequisites for success in the position are that:

  • You have experience with project sales of PPE equipment
  • You have the willingness to acquire knowledge about competitors, relevant legal requirements and authorizations within the field
  • You have the willingness to acquire technical knowledge
  • You have business acumen and can navigate in a global multicultural organization
  • You have a high level of language skills in English, Danish and preferably German. Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage, but not a requirement
