Photomate is a regional leader in the distribution of inverters for photovoltaics and electric energy storage systems. Photomate has had a successful start in Scandinavia and is now rapidly expanding its activities and is committed to becoming Scandinavia’s leading supplier of photovoltaic systems and electrical energy storage systems. Therefore, they are looking for a capable Sales Manager ready to build and form the new office in Finland.

Your role


In the role of Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales team’s to begin with. This person will be in their team by themselves working on performance and strategy. The focus will be on both new and existing customers. The candidate should successfully mediate between the management and existing customers.

The job tasks include:

  • Conducting market analysis and recommending sales strategies/product plans for specified regions
  • Monitoring developments in the solar inverter and BESS market in the designated region
  • Keeping track of competitor's activities in the specified region
  • Confirming technical solutions with clients and optimizing them to stay ahead of the market
  • Selling Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solution and BESS
  • Preparing bill of materials/quotations and spearheading project bidding
  • Contributing to the development of levelized cost of energy studies for complex projects
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of Huawei FusionSolar Smart PV Solutions and promoting the solutions for large PV plants, addressing technical challenges and misconceptions

Your background


You are expected to have a friendly and professional demeanor like the rest of our team. You possess the ability to provide guidance, feedback, and general support to both colleagues and clients. Furthermore, it is expected that you have the following professional skills:

  • Experience in handling complex organizations and projects through an understanding of systems and products.
  • Ability to communicate both technically and commercially.
  • Technical background, with a preference for a background in electronic/electrical engineering
  • 3 years of sales experience, with 1 year in the solar PV industry and/or energy storage systems

A basic education in sales or similar, along with a background in electronics or energy will be considered as an advantage.

Furthermore, you must be fluent/professional in Finnish and English, both written and oral.

The work location is in Helsinki and will most likely be from home or another private location in the beginning. You will work closely with the Scandinavian Country Manager and external colleagues in different countries. At Photomate they value positivity, fairness, and a friendly approach.
