Regional Sales & Service Director, region Europe

As Director you are responsible for developing, managing and being responsible for P&L for the ANDRITZ Feed & Biofuels business in Europe with the main task to drive the business to a profitable growth track.

You will lead 16 dedicated salespeople through your four regional managers in a very international and multicultural context servicing Andritz’s clients and agents. You will be involved in high-level negotiations, overall market, product and pricing strategies. The reporting, P/L, budgeting and reporting responsibilities also fall in your domain. Your responsibilities bring you across Europe visiting own offices, large accounts, agents and distributors. Travelling is a major part of the role – you are most likely out half of your time.

Below you find some of your specific tasks:

  • Ensure that ‘all’ relevant business segments, products and services are promoted within the region.
  • Responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets, regional P&L for all business segments.
  • Ensure engagement, motivation and retention of the team while interacting in a remote basis in the region/global organization.
  • Participating in negotiation of important and larger contracts in the region,
  • Development of regional key accounts and ensuring development and servicing global key accounts active in the region.
  • participate and organize together marketing team tradeshows, forums and relevant events.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting.
  • Showing strong leadership by setting clear expectations and developing the skills and competencies of the employees in the sales and services teams through training and coaching.

As a person you are customer orientated, a good relations builder who manages a wide range of different stakeholders internally as well as externally. Your leadership builds on high ethics, drive and your empathic way of motivating the people around you. Your systematic way of working combined with your communication skills bring tangible results. You feel at ease travelling in an international, multicultural environment. Your passion for your business shows and “winning the order” is highly motivating especially doing it together with great colleagues.

Your experience probably stems from a similar job in a technical matrix environment in a larger international industrial manufacturing company. It would be a plus with industry experience from the feed, biofuel or agro industries. Tech Sales is what you have done most of your sales career. You understand the importance of figures in terms of P/L, balance sheets and has a natural understanding of formulating pricing strategically. Form an educational background you can show a bachelor’s degree probably supplemented with an MBA or the like, but your professional career is more important and so is your results.
