Mission & Responsibilities

Are you a Sales Manager with a strong drive and technical interest? Do you want to develop and coach a sales team in an international company?

Air Liquide is looking for an engaged Sales Manager who will lead and complement the successful sales team in southern Finland. Your task will be, together with our sales management, to create objectives and development strategies that accelerates growth and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers. Together with our support functions, business developers and market experts, you will also implement new offers, drive innovation projects and take responsibility for customer satisfaction.

You will get the opportunity to Co-visit key customers with Sales Representatives for support and coaching purposes. Our customers are in the manufacturing industry, welding, cutting, laser processing, heat treatment, additive manufacturing, water purification, pulp and paper and many other exciting areas. Given the wide range of customers, it is important that you are flexible in your approach and can communicate how our products and services provide added value for each individual customer.

The team you will lead consists of Sales Representatives, a Distributor Account Manager and Sales Support. You are mainly responsible for the middle and south part of Finland and report to the Sales Manager Finland.

You are part of the Finnish and Swedish Sales Management team and thus have a unique opportunity to run projects where you develop yourself as a Sales Manager while also managing sales and making a difference in a world-leading company.

Purpose and opportunities of the position

The mission of Sales Manager is to set the development strategy and objectives, sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction for direct customers and indirect customers (through distributors and resellers)in coordination with the Sales Management Team. In your daily work the mission is to lead, coach and develop the team and sales in the area and by that having direct impact in the results and success of the team.

Competence and profile

Air Liquide is looking for a supportive Sales Manager who preferably has 3-5 years of experience coaching a sales team. You have a good understanding and experience in technical sales. We don’t expect you to have a deep knowledge of gas, but you must have the ability and interest to learn new things quickly. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of welding.

As a person, you are a focused entrepreneur who has the courage to challenge your surroundings to constantly create better solutions / results. You can analyze and draw conclusions from complex data, develop strategies and break them down to concrete action plans. In addition, you are outgoing and skilled at building networks both internally and externally.

Most importantly, however, you have a strong interest in developing others, can take independent leadership responsibility and have a sales drive that leads to increased value-added sales and new sales. You are a natural leader who inspires and motivates – It is fun to have you as the team captain!

Since Air Liquide is an international company, it is important that you are fluent in both Finnish and English in writing and speech. To apply for this role you must have a driving license.
