We are looking for an experienced Sales and Business Development Director for our Space portfolio.

In Terma Space we are experiencing a significant growth in our activities, and we are therefore looking for an experienced Sales and Business Development Director. You will be part of an international Sales and Business Development team, which is responsible for ensuring our growth by expanding the existing business and entering new markets.

In Terma Space, we develop, qualify and test complex electronics products, software, simulators and testing solutions for scientific and commercial satellites and equipment – covering both the flight and ground segments with our products, systems, and services to be used, for example, on Mars. Our products are used in mission-critical applications, and we have great expertise in the manufacture of high-efficiency power supplies, star trackers, complex analog devices, software and services for use in space.

The Position

Your work will take place in a highly engaged international Sales Team, where you as Sales and Business Development Director will be responsible for:

  • Manage and maintain existing accounts as an enterpreneur, maintain customer relations, drive, identify and materialize opportunities.
  • Establish new accounts and markets and identify and follow up potential opportunities.
  • Commit and achieve sales goals by assessing customer needs.
  • Recommend changes and innovations in products and services, by evaluating customer needs in close cooperation with Product Management and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other Sales Managers and Business Units to ensure to optimize the sales strategy.
  • Ensure high quality offers meeting the customer needs are produced and company standards are being upheld.

About You
We expect that you are motivated by strengthening a Sales and Business Development team challenged by growing market characterized by technical complex technologies with a high demand for quality and innovation. As an individual, you must follow an entrepreneur and target oriented approach. Not to mention that communication and networking skills with customers are essential. Cooperation and teamwork with Solution Engineers and stakeholders from various Business Units is mandatory to compile strong and convincing proposals to our customers. Leading the acquisition process with our customers with a technical background in space domain and engagement to become acquainted with complex systems are highly welcome. A professional background from the space industry is preferred but is not mandatory.
