Based in Denmark Xolta develop and manufacture advanced cloud connected stationary battery solutions for storing renewable energy. We are on a growth journey, driven by high ambitions and a passion for green energy and we need you onboard.

Xolta caters for the premium residential and commercial energy storage market with intelligent cloud-based energy storage solutions. Your responsibility will cover both full systems and our pack business for more specialized industry clients.

The marketplace offers tremendous opportunities, that’s why you are required to develop and execute on a strategy to successfully capture leading positions within specific areas where Xolta can obtain a superior position. In near future Xolta will likely expand office to key markets to secure our immediate cultural and physical proximity to key customers. Experience with running satellite offices and remote leadership is therefore an advantage. Travel days are expected to be 30-60 days per year but can vary.

We are looking for a skilled and strategic Sales Director to join and lead our sales team in reaching our targets within our selected business areas. Reporting to the CEO, the ideal candidate comes with both technical and commercial experience and has a proven track record of scaling and driving team results through direct and indirect sales channels.

About the role.

As a sales director you have entrepreneurial and pragmatic and have a hands-on approach with a readiness to develop your own key accounts alongside the team.

You will lead and develop a high-performance international sales team where you support our journey on a high growth path and ensure that our sales team must be scaled for international growth and have demonstrated your competence through previous successful management roles. You are not only a competent leader, but also an inspirational figure who manages to motivate a sales team to achieve their full potential.

General responsibilities for you to drive and own.

  • Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for key segments.
  • Oversee all sales activities and manage the sales team across different locations.
  • Drive a key account strategy by developing and motivating a team that can identify and develop key accounts, resulting in a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Be directly involved in Xolta’s top tier key accounts, tender processes, and opportunities.
  • Manage sales channels and ensure all marketing activities and priorities are aligned with our target markets and stakeholders.
  • Motivate, train, and develop all members of the sales team, and expand the sales team to meet sales targets.
  • Drive co-branding strategy together with the marketing team.
  • Ensure compliance with sales targets and service concept.
  • Collaboration with other departments such as Customer Service, Partnerships, and business support for a coordinated effort.
  • Provide market input to product management and marketing to design and offer products aligned to market tendencies and trends.
  • Develop and report on quarterly and annual sales targets for the department, including longer-term business and development opportunities.

  • Be the face of the organization at sales events and conferences.

Experience/Qualifications for the ideal candidate.

The ideal applicant will have most of the qualifications below:

  • Documented track record from a similar role in a company offering technical solution sales.
  • Engineering and Science university degree.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking capabilities including structured approach to the daily work.
  • Able to be based out of the Copenhagen office.
  • Strong ability to identify and develop key focus areas, an deploy resources to execute plans and track progress accordingly.
  • Technical understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commandment of English written and spoken as second nature. German or other European language proficiency is an advantage.
