Key Responsibilities
Within maritime security, we help enable business by ensuring the security of vessels and crew at sea. We work proactively to mitigate operational challenges and reduce risks and when we engage with selected external stakeholders in the pursuit of these, we demonstrate leadership, share knowledge, and collaborate to improve.
We are a team with very diverse tasks and we deliver on our objectives as a team. There will be cross functional task not directly related to Maritime Security.
Other key tasks:
- Perform 24/7 vessel support.
- Incident handling and crisis management.
- Perform advise to vessels and stakeholders
- Plan and execute security drills and exercises.
- Understanding the situation and trends in the maritime security domain globally.
- Share knowledge and advise to vessels along with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that procedures and documents are compliant with international and flag state regulations and best practice.
- Compliance management for marine security.
- Management of relevant vessel security systems.
- Prepare and perform internal and external audits.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a background in maritime security, knowledge of the shipping industry and knowledge of marine compliance.
You have practical experience from relevant positions, and you are detail oriented and possess a fact-based nature/mind set.
Key skills:
- Ability to build trusted relationships with various stakeholder
- Generating ideas about how to do things in innovative ways
- Open-minded, curious and active in challenging the status quo in a constructive manner
- Ability to keep cool under pressure and deliver consistently through changing circumstances
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as maritime technical/Nautical terminology.
As a person you are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment and thrive in an international environment. You want to challenge and develop yourself.
The right candidate is a self-starter with curious nature and a drive to continuously optimize.
