We offer
This role ensures that products and services comply with known quality regulatory requirements and standards for Food Safety Quality. The Food Safety Quality Manager is responsible for setting the direction necessary to achieve compliance, as well as working with product development teams and other functions to ensure that products and services are provided with regulatory compliance in mind. This is achieved from the ability to apply their quality expertise across a matrix organization.
Key responsibilities
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system to meet regulatory/Industry and certification quality standard requirements for food safety quality within the framework of ISO9001:2015.
- Monitoring and analyzing key regulatory quality metrics to identify areas for improvement & develop strategies to address them.
- Ensuring compliance with all known food safety quality regulations and standards related to the delivery of services and processes.
- Engaging with regulatory authorities and certification bodies to facilitate timely approvals and ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including applications for authorization to store, distribute and process products.
- Managing regulatory and accreditation inspections and audits and internal audit program.
- Providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders on food safety quality regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Interacting with cross-functional teams to ensure that products are designed with regulatory compliance in mind.
- Continuously monitoring regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure that products and processes remain compliant.
- Developing and supporting employee professional development with food safety quality regulations and standard competencies.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Food Safety Quality Manager who meets the following criteria:
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance and/or ISO standards.
- Certified Standards Professional or Regulatory Affairs Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience with obtaining and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 and/or 22000:2018 certifications within large organizations.
- Knowledge of BRC / IFS / BRCGS Global Food Safety Standards or similar.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
