We are looking for an experienced Director of Data Governance, within the Global Data Office, to drive the rollout of data governance across all of – could this be you?
The position
The Director of Data Governance is characterised as a position that represents the Global Data Office and DD&IT as the subject matter expert in data governance, ways of working, frameworks and methods towards Business Area(s). Reporting to the VP of Global Data Office, you will play a key role in rolling out data governance initiatives across Novo Nordisk and be instrumental to bringing Data and AI to new heights. The position has strategic oversight and leadership in all aspects of data governance and use. Some of your core responsibilities are to: Establish and govern selected enterprise-wide data across the lines of business with a pragmatic and practical approach Establish and chair key data governance bodies encompassing all relevant data stakeholders across the company Together with key stakeholders, drive the definition and implementation of the data governance policies, processes, guidelines, and compliance controls Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making Ensure that main data management processes are effective, efficient, and in line with policies and procedures. This includes data curation, data integration, data processing, data analysis, data quality and data dissemination Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring that the Global Data Office is an environment where all staff feel valued and supported The position is based in Ballerup, however all other Global NN locations will be considered, so we encourage you to apply regardless your current location.
Candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT discipline; an advanced degree and related accreditations a plus 10+ years of experience in data governance, analytics and data management Extensive experience as a Data Governance Director/Manager is essential Previously involved in building the Data Governance capability in a large/complex/matrixed organisation Current working knowledge of industry best practice e.g. DAMA/EDM Knowledge and experience working with current technologies supporting Data Governance Frameworks e.g. Collibra Desirable Held a similar role in Life Sciences/Pharma Industry a plus and understanding the usage of data across the end-to-end value chain
