Are you a Java wizard with a passion for building microservices that push the limits of technology? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and live for the challenge of integrating systems using event-driven design? If you answered yes, then we want you on our dream team of Senior Software Engineers!
Maersk is on a mission to revolutionize the transportation and freight forwarding industry. And we're looking for Senior Software Engineers who are just as passionate about technology and making a difference. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Java and experience with the Azure platform, as well as a passion for developing RESTful APIs and event-driven design. Bonus points if you have experience in the transportation and freight forwarding industry!
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and Azure cloud services, and collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers and stakeholders to bring your ideas to life. You'll participate in Scrum meetings and drive the Agile development process, ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting-edge microservices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain microservices
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs
- Implement event-driven design
- Integrate systems using various protocols
- Collaborate with a distributed team of software engineers and stakeholders
- Ensure the smooth operation of services
- Participate in Scrum meetings and contribute to the Agile development process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Java development
- At least 3 years of RESTful API development experience
- Knowledge of event-driven design and integration techniques
- 2+ years of experience with the Azure cloud platform
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with transportation and freight forwarding is a big plus
