The Role
At Milestone, we are seeking platform engineers, on all levels (Junior/Senior/Principal), to be a critical player in building Milestones Internal Developer Platform.
We are still in the early stages of the project, so we expect you to be the type of person who has a clear understanding of developer needs, and an ambitious mindset of how we can achieve it.

The developer platform will create a streamlined foundation, standardized workflows and tooling for all Milestones products, i.e. Milestones server applications, web services, mobile apps etc. It is our job to ensure that the developers have all the capabilities they need to create their software and get the required insight from it and ensure it’s secure and reliable.
You'll be instrumental in shaping this platform, influencing its architecture, selecting tools, establishing standards and promoting a strong engineering culture.
If you have experience working with developer platforms or the tooling surrounding modern applications/services and have a deep understanding of developer needs, this is your chance to contribute at a core level.

Your primary responsibilities are:
· Make developers fly by simplifying and automating all steps from code-commit to release.

· Utilize your firsthand experience with various DevOps workflows and platform tooling to optimize our workflows and processes.
· Proficiency with virtual machines (VMs), Kubernetes (K8s), containers, and related technologies
· Establish and run an observability platform which can give insight into our products and platforms. Both in the cloud and on air-gapped systems.
· Monitor and establish proactive guards to resolve potential issues, ensuring optimal platform performance.
· Design and implement robust infrastructure to support a diverse range of on-premise, mobile, and cloud-based applications.
· Exhibit excellent coding skills to contribute to the development of scalable and maintainable solutions.

Your Profile:
Collaboration fuels your work; you enjoy knowledge sharing and mentoring others. Resourceful troubleshooting and excellent prioritization skills (in partnership with stakeholders) are essential. Beyond the technical expertise listed below, you're eager to shape the direction of our internal developer platform.
Your Profile:
· Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
· Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
· Experience with automation tools like: Github Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins etc
· Experience with elastic search and the ELK stack.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
· Excellent programming skills
· A relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
