We are looking for a Senior ERP Solution Architect to our Business Applications department in IT, to lead the roadmap and development of our IFS-based ERP platform and build an even stronger foundation for the future of Terma.
Job Overview
The Senior ERP Solution Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of Terma’s ERP solution – IFS. This includes driving our ERP roadmap in close collaboration with our Enterprise Architect and being a subject-matter expert regarding our ERP application, the underlying technology foundation, processes and data.
You need to understand the concepts of business goals, value-streams, and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. The Senior ERP Solution Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of our ERP foundation to ensure our ERP system meets business needs – and is built in accordance with our architectural governance and standards. You will both help define solutions and roadmap based on business requests, but also proactively drive our ERP roadmap in close dialogue with key business and IT stakeholders
For selected domain areas you will also be the responsible IT person.
Your main role and responsibilities
As our Senior ERP Solution Architect, you need to demonstrate competencies across three key dimensions:

Example deliverables: requirements document, roadmaps (e.g. Finance, HR, Sales), business process/capability gap assessment, business process models.

Bear in mind that candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish national security agency. This entails that candidate, as a minimum, have stayed within NATO/EU for the last 7 years only interrupted by short stays abroad and have citizenship from a country that is member of NATO

Your main role and responsibilities
As our Senior ERP Solution Architect, you need to demonstrate competencies across three key dimensions:
Interpret Business Needs
- Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural roadmap to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and analysis work
- Works closely with the business and IT stakeholders to ensure robust and architecturally sound solutions that can support both short-term and long-term goals of our business
- Understands business capabilities, processes and goals, and determine corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive results
Example deliverables: requirements document, roadmaps (e.g. Finance, HR, Sales), business process/capability gap assessment, business process models.
Assess Technology
- Monitors the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements
- Facilitates the evaluation and selection of ERP-related products (also beyond IFS)
- Safeguard our platform, enforce standards and approve customization and configurations
- Consults with IT Operations and IT Development to align development of ERP integrations, architecture, infrastructure capacity.
- Example deliverables: Current state architecture documentation, vendor assessment for RFP, contribution to cost/benefit analysis, contributions to proof-of-concept implementation
Provide Enterprise Guidance
- Work with project managers and ERP specialists to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle
- Provides deliverables like standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs to support architectural governance to assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT estate
- Defines the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns in collaboration with our Enterprise Architect to ensure ERP solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
Credentials and Experience
- Degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, IT/business or a related study, or equivalent experience
- Solid experience working with ERP systems either directly as an ERP solution architect or a related position (IFS experience is a plus, but not a must)
- Experience working within a regulated or highly secure industry is helpful, but not required.
- Experience delivering presentations to both senior-level executives and technical audiences
Skills
- Good understanding of strategy, strategic road-mapping, business analysis and technology assessments
- Broad business and process understanding – e.g. HR, Finance, Sales, supply chain, service, production
- Good understanding of project management and showing technical leadership
- Some technical knowledge of e.g., backend development languages and DB technologies such as SQL and front-end web development languages
- Knowledge of various aspects of a technology architecture like integration, security, ERP configuration, security and network
- Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development)
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems, processes and implementation
Characteristics

- Technology neutral: remains unbiased toward any specific solution, and is more interested in results than personal preferences. Questions goals, impact and current process before digging directly into a solution.
