Are you passionate to provide a higher product quality and efficiency through testing of software, while improving the way we work – and do you see yourself in a company with mission critical solutions for the defense industry?
We are looking for a test engineer to join a development team in our software organization in Søborg. The software you will help develop, provides situational awareness for the Danish Royal Navy through surveillance, maritime safety, and combat purposes at sea. You will also contribute to export product development.
You will find your colleagues and involved customers to be open and welcoming, with a lot of knowledge they gladly share. You will be in a team of 5 to 10 people in the C2 organization of around 100 highly engaged colleagues, in an area of great importance in Terma. We have a fun passion in our work, and we work together in stable, interdisciplinary, and self-managed teams based on agile principles.
Your role and tasks
As a Test Engineer, you will be a key capacity in ensuring the quality of our software systems. You will take ownership of automated and manual testing within your area and be an important sparring partner for your colleagues in and outside the team.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Continuous verification of new functionality developed by the team
- Support our CI/CD testing strategy and coach software developers in securing testability
- Ensuring requirement to test traceability and vice versa, in cooperation with System Engineers
- Maturation of methods, tools, and processes to create cohesive automated testing practices
You will also:
- Participate in test activities necessary to ensure system and project delivery – possibly including tests onboard military vessels (in Denmark).
- Participate in the team scrum events like planning, refinement, retrospective, and review/demo.
- Spar and knowledge share with your fellow test engineers in the C2 organization.

How to succeed in this position?
You have a relevant education, plus experience as a test engineer in software, and we therefore expect you to have most of the following:
- Years of testing experience – including automation and manual regression testing
- Specification and planning of test activities – also with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of testing with agile development methods (Scrum)
You as a person:
- You are passionate and you actively follow through on your tasks and enjoy working in a complex and highly specialized environment.
- You are a team player, and you take pride in communicating actively and acting proactively towards your teammates and stakeholders.
- You are well articulated in writing and speaking, as a minimum in English, preferably also in Danish.
