In this position, you will use your strong technical and analytical competencies to design, implement, and mature cloud-based data- infrastructure and pipelines of large-scale ML and Mathematical Modelling products in a MLOps setup. Together with your Data Engineering- and Data Science colleagues, you will take an integral part in a product team, collaborating with a broad range of profiles with mixed competencies to deliver on digital solutions that enable more intelligent use of data and ultimately improve the lives of people living with chronic diseases. Qualifications
To fulfil the role, it is essential that you can use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with your colleagues. We treasure the positive atmosphere in our team and count on you to engage and participate in a positive manner as well. It is an advantage if you can tick of any of the below: A master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or similar, with a strong technical and analytical mindset. More than 3 years of experience in a data engineering role, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud-based data infrastructure and pipelines, ideally in a production-mature machine learning environment and MLOps setup. Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python, and adherence to software development standards and CI/CD, e.g. using Azure DevOps. Fluency in SQL, and a general understanding of databases. Technical expertise in data engineering technologies and tool stacks, such as API integrations, database migrations, ORMs, ETL/ELT processes, and (open source) tools. Experience with Docker, ideally on Kubernetes, and prior experience with Kubernetes native projects (such as argo and Helm) is a plus. Experience in writing Infrastructure-as-code (IAC), e.g. using Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. Knowledge within the pharmaceutical or medical field is an advantage.

The Data & Modelling department is the home of a team of highly professional, engaged, and motivated data engineers and data scientists, who take a core part in novel digital solutions throughout the clinical drug development value chain. The Data & Modelling team is part of the Development organisation. In Development we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics.
