About The Department
Corporate Procurement is anchored within Finance, Legal and Global Solution of Novo Nordisk. We are 140 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 500 people work in procurement throughout the organisation. Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements and purchasing processes. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 14 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. We also define and drive Novo Nordisk’s global procurement strategy, we set the global direction for best procurement practices, and we drive several digitalisation projects across global procurement. From a sustainability standpoint, we work directly with suppliers to address environmental impact and drive change to reach our ambitious 2030 goal of relying on all supplies to be 100% based on renewable energy.

The position
The Novo Nordisk Corporate Procurement Consultant Programme includes three rotations of eight months, each in different departments in Corporate Procurement at our global headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. The work will be based out of Denmark but involve close collaboration with colleagues across the globe. In the programme you will be assigned a mentor and through coaching and training you will obtain a strong toolbox within category and -project management. You will also have access to a network of current and former Procurement Consultants that you can reach out to for professional sparring and social activities.

As a Procurement Consultant you will drive selected sourcing and business development projects. In addition, you will work with developing our category strategies through sound and fact-based analyses. You will work closely with our key stakeholders on identifying and executing business improvement projects and sourcing opportunities in our global organisation and drive negotiation and relationship management with our suppliers. The programme is a great opportunity for rapid professional development and to get an understanding of the value chain in a large multinational pharmaceutical company while delivering tangible results and value to the business. The programme offers a great basis for a dynamic career in Novo Nordisk in various positions within Procurement, such as Project & Category management.

Qualifications
We expect you to recently have completed, or are close to completing, a Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Engineering or other relevant fields.
