Join Novo Nordisk’s Strategic Sourcing unit and contribute to our exciting growth journey as Sourcing Analytics Consultant.
The position Your main task will be to contribute with analytical modelling, workflows and optimized access to capacity and forecast data for strategies, which are developed for individual materials or categories in the Strategic Sourcing unit. You will play a central role in the development of sourcing strategies as you will contribute with the holistic view across categories by developing forecasting models, performing scenario analyses and addressing capacity expansion plans, thus ensuring a sustained balance between supply and demand in Novo Nordisk’s upstream expansion journey. You will be responsible for assessing financial implications of capacity expansion and outsourcing plans and performing spend projections, thus adding a cost/commercial angle to your analytical work. You will also be involved in the bi-annual budgeting process, supporting Category Managers with calculating unit costs and the classification of cost factors as OPEX or CAPEX. You will amongst others collaborate closely with members of a Strategy Cluster (which you yourself are part of), Category Managers in Strategic Sourcing, and a number of strategic functions across the ~20.000 people Product Supply organisation. You can anticipate working days where you plan and execute your work independently to timely and proactively influence or support decision making in categories you interact with, as well as to establish decision material or principles for management layers higher in the organisation. You will establish a complete understanding of what it takes of information, analytics and stakeholder alignment to set the strategic direction for a category. In your work you will establish a very broad network which besides being interesting and needed to achieve the objectives defined by the Strategy Cluster, also serves as a unique foundation for future career development in many different directions within the strategic angle on supply chain planning, production and sourcing. Qualifications Academic background in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Innovation & Business Intelligence, or another relevant subject. You have minimum 3 years of experience from a role as business or supply chain analyst, demand/supply/operations planner, or portfolio manager, ideally within a supply chain or sourcing function in a pharmaceutical company. You are self-driven and use your strong planning and collaboration skills to navigate in a complex organisation and highly diverse working environment with many projects, products and stakeholders. You have an analytical yet holistic mindset that allows you to construct and refine analytical and financial models forming the basis for strategic decision making. You bring a positive mindset and good sense of humour to work even when the pressure is on, as you have learned that results are best achieved through good relations, positive curiosity, and trust in one another. You possess solid English language skills (both in speech and in writing) as well as good presentation skills.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical production sites worldwide as well as global management of suppliers. You will be part of Strategy and Business Intelligence department, where we (for several functional disciplines) drive cross-unit assessment and projects, represent the unit in different fora outside the unit and contribute with value-adding sparring to the category management and sourcing departments in Strategic Sourcing. The disciples, which we represent and tailor for a sourcing perspective, include strategy development, sourcing/scenario analytics, financial advisory, sustainability, risk management, market intelligence, quality management and Business intelligence. You will enter a thorough, yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside Strategic Sourcing.
