The Solution Design Engineer will be part of a unique team designing logistic solutions for customers that require advanced specialized know-how within project logistics. Designing solutions for new markets jointly with business development & operations excellence teams. Provide innovative solutions and ideas to help create the best and most competitive offerings.

The position is located in Aarhus, Denmark but we would gladly consider candidates from other EU states.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Solutions Design Engineer in MPL - you will be part of a winning team with high growth ambitions and focus on the solution design, costing & pricing where necessary to personally take the lead to:

• Capture core data and assumptions that are required to design, cost and price the solution for the customer. This includes the process for capturing all customer insights that might be relevant for this pursuit or future upselling opportunities
• Develop detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client and draft P&L for Maersk
• Calculate MPL size/scope requirements based on product data mainly provided as part of a customer RFQ
• Create process flows for key activities
• Providing engineering solutions and visualization for proposed solutions as part of the technical response in RFQ

You’ll be working closely with Sales to address the customer’s requirements with cost-effective, high quality end to end logistics solutions which can be effectively implemented and executed.

The strong candidate has:

• Relevant experience from freight forwarding, shipping, logistics or similar
• Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written in English
• A collaborative mindset with a “can do” attitude
• Commercial knowledge and interest
• Relationship building skills, both with customers but also internal stakeholders
• High-level logistics product understanding including how it solves different customer pains
