The position
As a Head of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Research (AIDR) Operations, you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction for AIDR and leading the implementation of business planning and operations strategies which will impact both AIDR and the wider Digital Science and Innovation (DSI) organisation. Your focus will be on the seamless running of a global multidisciplinary organisation.
Your key area responsibilities will be: Development and execution of AIDR business and operational growth strategy. Provide strategic and financial planning/analysis working with SVP Finance business partners. Member of the AIDR leadership team, providing strategic leadership, internal and external stakeholder management, and building an industry-leading employee engagement/culture Lead demand forecasting and global portfolio review efforts. Manage External partnerships and collaborations. Leadership of the AIDR global operational function e.g., portfolio management, delivery, budget demand, business processes, and Admin group. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have: Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field. Strong leadership and project management skills – particular focus on communication and analytical skills. Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigating global matrix organisation Proven experience in setting and developing new processes and operational procedures, particularly in a global setting is an advantage. Solid communication skills, and ability to summarize complex topics in understandable stories About the department
The AI and Digital Research department is a global, multidisciplinary team that puts AI at the center of drug discovery. The department takes a human-centric approach to drug discovery, utilizing cutting-edge data science, machine learning, and engineering techniques to identify novel targets, biomarkers, and new drugs. By doing so, they aim to accelerate the drug discovery process and unlock a deeper understanding of disease and treatment outcomes.
Through close collaboration with other departments and teams across the organization, the AI and Digital Research department works to bring innovative therapies to patients more quickly and improve the lives of those living with chronic conditions. With a focus on putting AI at the forefront of drug discovery, the department is dedicated to revolutionizing the pharmaceutical industry and bringing life-changing treatments to those who need them most.
