Do you want to help optimize bioassays for activity determination of new drug candidates? The project This project is focused on a gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) potency assay, where mammalian cells are engineered to respond to GIP. The assay is established, but there is a need for further optimization to increase throughput and stabilize it with the use of instant cells instead of continuously growing cells. This entails molecular biological laboratory work and handling of mammalian cells. You will be responsible for driving the project and, in collaboration with scientists, interpreting data and designing experiments. Qualifications We are looking for a Science student (Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or similar) with an interest and flair for biological assays, mammalian cell culture handling, automation, and data analysis.
