A key player from a financial and business aspect
As the close sparring partner for the company’s local CEO, you will play a decisive role in managing and optimizing the company’s finances going forward – thus driving strategic direction, continuous improvement and supporting a sustainable business growth.
You act at a strategic and tactical level and support the operational level with your mindset that ensures that processes and workflows are as optimal and efficient as possible.
You oversee all financial aspects of an international business and will support the company’s strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of all the businesses within the group, providing reliable and accurate financial data, as well as managing global and local compliance.
You will be responsible for Global IT within the group hence managing and leading IT teams ensuring compliance with local and corporate IT policies to protect against external threats. Furthermore you will drive continuous improvement within IT systems, promoting expansion of digitilisation to improve efficiencies.
You will be an integral part of the global executive team, supporting other colleagues with financial expertise and decision making.
You will be responsible for a local and global Finance and IT team consisting of 7 direct reports. You support their individual talent development and ensure the teams´ progression. All in all, your role as Global Director of Finance will contribute to the company’s efficient operation, high quality, good profitability, and business development. For the right candidate this is a unique opportunity to play a central role in establishing the foundation for the company’s growth strategy, which includes the possibility of multiple acquisitions.
You will be required to travel regularly to other sites within the group.
You will succeed as our Global Director of Finance if you have
- Proven experience as Director of Finance or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, to form a close working relationship with other executive team members
- Recognised global accounting qualification
- Experience working with multiple cultures and countries
- Experience working within a US corporation
- Excellent leadership qualities and strong analytical skills
- Personal and professional integrity
- A problem-solving mindset
- Fluency in English
- Highly computer literate (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
