Key Responsibilities
Rporting to the Head of Operational Excellence, HSE & Innovation, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance of A.P. Moller Maersk’s landside transportation operations.
You will offer technical expertise on the elimination, or reduction of health and safety (H&S) risks and environmental aspects, as well as the development of the organisational capabilities required to do so.
This will be done through close collaboration with the TbM leadership team and cross functional stakeholders to support them in the fulfillment of their HSE responsibilities and the implementation of controls into the business processes they own.
Key tasks:
- Set the standards for landside transportation safety globally by developing the elements of our HSSE Framework related to transportation H&S risks and environmental aspects, together with the Framework owner, HSE subject matter experts and regional heads of Safety & Resilience.
- Together with the TbM leadership team, coordinate the implementation of said HSE standards into landside transportation operations, and supporting business processes globally.
- Support the assurance and insights team in their responsibility to audit the extent to which standards have been implemented and are effective. Facilitate the use of audit results to improve HSE performance together with the TbM leadership team, the Regional Heads of S&R, and the HSSE Framework owner.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all matters concerning transportation HSE.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree relevant to at least one of the three disciplines (health, safety, and environmental) and has had experience with establishing HSE standards across a landside transportation network .
You have the knowledge of the interconnectivity and functionalities of HSE management systems and prior experience in implementing these. Ideally, the candidate has prior experience in implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems in a logistics network.
Furthermore you are:
- Capable of developing and maintaining relationships with global and regional stakeholders across the business. The ideal candidate enjoys finding, connecting and coordinating with new people, and is motivated by helping others develop HSE performance.
- Able to provide technical advice on HSE matters related to transportation operations. We are looking for a person capable of communicating complexities regarding HSE risks and controls to others, and advice on industry best-practices, as well as our standards.
This global role will require a person with excellent prioritization skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
We are looking for a self-starter with an inherent drive to achieve results by working through others.
