Then, this opportunity at [xxxxx] could be the right next step for you. We are looking for a Head of Data Privacy to shape and steer
[xxxxx]’s data privacy approach. In this role, you will champion a culture of accountability, ensuring our data privacy framework effectively meets regulatory and client requirements. You will lead the operationalisation of key requirements—from policies and governance to DPIAs, awareness, and maturity initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Legal, IT, P&O, and our Business Lines to integrate privacy into our ways of working. This role calls for strong personal ownership of execution and the ability to build trust and work effectively across the organization.
Your key responsibilities will include: - Own and continuously develop [xxxxx]’s global data privacy framework, ensuring alignment with applicable data protection regulations across all geographies where [xxxxx] operates, and translating regulatory requirements into practical ways of working.
- Maintain and govern [xxxxx]’s Privacy Policy ensuring it remains current and reflects the organisation.
- Lead and oversee privacy risk management activities, including DPIAs and advisory support to projects, functions, and business lines, with a focus on risk‑based decision‑making.
- Manage [xxxxx]’s annual ISAE 3000 GDPR audit, including preparation, documentation, coordination with internal stakeholders and external auditors, and follow‑up on findings and improvements
- Act as [xxxxx]’s primary expert and point of contact on data protection matters, providing advice on obligations, rights, and regulatory developments.
- Serve as the primary liaison with supervisory authorities and other relevant external parties on data privacy matters.
- Collaborate closely with Information Security, Legal, IT, P&O, and the Business Lines to ensure privacy is effectively integrated into governance, processes, systems, and customer engagements.
Your skills. Our team. Together, we design the future To succeed in this role, you build trusting relationships with stakeholders and influence senior leaders with confidence. You communicate complex legal and technical topics clearly and practically. You take a pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving problems while managing execution and coordinating across functions. You understand how privacy intersects with information security, technology, and business processes, enabling you to embed privacy effectively throughout the organization.
On top of that, you have
- Experience working with GDPR, privacy governance, or data protection in a larger organisation.
- Hold a relevant academic background in IT, information security, IT auditing, law, or a related field.
- Work experience collaborating with regulators and external auditors, preferably with ISAE 3000 assurance.
- Have demonstrated experience designing and operating a corporate-level privacy governance model.
