As Manager for the Sustainability team, you will be referring to the Director of Facility design. You will be participating in many projects, setting the sustainability agenda, and supervising a team of 10 highly skilled employees.
Your primary responsibilities include taking lead on the sustainability agenda and ensuring that relevant sustainability aspects are investigated and integrated in our projects. You will also support and develop the members of the Sustainability team. The responsibility will be a split between project work and management.

How you might spend your days
As manager of the department, you’ll be working with our innovative Sustainability team where you’ll be:
- Ensuring sufficient resources and competences are available and allocated to identify, investigate and integrate relevant sustainability aspects in our projects and other agreed deliverables
- Facilitating decision making in the projects and other key activities, for instance by ensuring that sufficiently complete calculations, simulations, and visualizations are provided in a timely manner
- Coordinating and communicating with key internal stakeholders and costumers
- Responsible for maintaining the department’s strategy and services to proactively meet our costumer’s needs and ensure preparedness to address upcoming demands
- Providing informal sparring and performing regular meetings with the team members to set performance and development goals

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- You have a degree in engineering within building or other relevant educational background
- You have minimum 5 years of experience with integrating sustainability considerations in the design of buildings, facilities and processes, preferably from the life science or biotech industry
- You have a talent for and experience with people management, team or project management
- You are familiar with life cycle assessments (LCA), energy calculations, environmental impact assessments and the evolving regulatory framework within corporate sustainability
- You have a business insight and experience with managing multiple stakeholders
- You speak and write Danish and English fluently
