We are looking for an energetic and self-driven manager to inspire, set direction, develop, and manage a team of highly engaged subject matter experts. The position You will report to the Director of Safety Surveillance Reporting and become an integral part of our management team. In this role, you will be leading a small, specialised team of subject matter experts in Denmark to support, enhance, and implement analytic methodologies and capabilities for signal management and aggregate reporting across Safety Surveillance. You will be responsible for establishing the Safety Surveillance Analytics team and growing team members, facilitating their professional growth, and fostering a supportive work environment.Furthermore, your main responsibilities will include: Leading the data analytics team, setting targets and goals, and ensuring that the team is working effectively towards achieving them. This includes assigning tasks, managing workloads, and resolving any issues that may arise. Developing and implementing data analysis strategies that align with the Safety Surveillance objectives. Foster effective cross-functional interaction and collaboration with other functions to develop and implement analytical methodologies and tools to boost the departments capabilities in safety evaluation and risk management. Ensuring that Safety Surveillance has the necessary skills and knowledge required to perform signal management and aggregate reporting tasks effectively. Staying updated with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in safety analytics and pharmacovigilance. QualificationsAs an ideal candidate, you have: Higher university degree in natural sciences (e.g. pharmacy, life sciences biological/pharmaceutical science/medicine). Additional certifications in pharmacovigilance or data science can be beneficial. Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory affairs, medical/clinical development, and/or drug safety. Extensive experience with signal management, with a focus on safety analytics. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team. Expertise in the use of analytics software and tools (e.g. SAS, R, QLIK, Spotfire), and ideally some experience with implementing safety data analytics tools. Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and requirements Strong project management skills You are an analytical and strategic thinker with strong collaboration skills, who thrives in a multicultural environment of continuous development. About the Department Safety Surveillance is a global organisation including more than 150 people with a medical/life science background who monitor the safety of all Novo Nordisk’s products (marketed and under development) to detect and evaluate signals of safety concern, and where necessary, take necessary actions to minimise risks for patients.In Safety Surveillance you will become part of a small and highly specialised team to maximise domain expertise (end-to-end understanding pharmacovigilance regulations, processes, methodologies, and data sources) and alignment of business priorities.
