You will be part of Ocean Network Product Finance, a diverse and motivated team which plays an active role in the transformation of the Ocean Business and optimization of our Network.
You will partner with the Global Network Optimization and Projects Team and support the vision to uplift our customer needs by deploying reliable, efficient, sustainable, and innovative Network solutions.
As a finance professional, you will enjoy being close to the execution of our strategy, influencing the outcomes in a direct and sustainable manner. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute to decisions which optimize our Ocean network and which have a significant impact on the financial performance of Maersk’s Ocean business.

Key Responsibilities
You will support and engage in business decision making with Ocean Network Product by interacting with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, providing value-add analysis and performance management reporting. You will actively support business priorities, participate in Network Optimization projects and ensure close alignment between various Senior Business Stakeholders in Ocean Network Product, Deployment, Network Strategy, and Chartering.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement network cost metrics including decarbonization metrics and targets
- Drive accurate, and aligned reporting of operational performance incl. KPIs and ad-hoc analyses, and understanding the impact of key performance indicators on future development
- Setting up drum beat for network cost performance management
- Participate in Network Optimization Projects and provide analytic support as relevant
- Actively support the stakeholders in their transformation journey to new processes and company structure, coordinating with other functions on various of the Ocean core initiatives
- Understand financial and operational footprint to effectively support business decision making that improve business results
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for the role will have a background in high-impact finance roles, with a previous experience with contributing to business results through financial insights.
A master’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration combined with at 5+ years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Project Management, Strategy Consultancy or equivalent.
Key competencies are:
- Effective collaboration and open communication skills, enabling engagement and influence on multiple stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Proven analytical and logical capacity, being able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture. Conveying insights extracted from data into concise, commonly understood business language for effective decision-making.
- Have a visible aspiration for results, data and problem solving, inspires others to continue learning and does not bind by functional and leadership level boundaries.
- You have great interpersonal skills, strong integrity and a humble personality that goes well with people at all levels in a global organization.
To achieve goals in our team, we are looking for a motivated person with a growth mindset, constantly developing your skills through learning from experiences, from others and from trying new things.
You are skilled in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
